Near Infrared
The shortest infrared wavelength is near-infrared (NIR). NIR improves skin regeneration, cell health, wound healing, and tissue growth when applied at the critical wavelength of 880 nm without using excessive heat or light, according to scientific studies. Because they can start a natural photo-biochemical process, LEDs are as efficient as plants, which use chlorophyll to transform sunlight into plant tissue.
Moreover, a pulsed wave can penetrate tissues farther. The LEDs in mPulse saunas pulse for the best results, hence their name.
Mid-Infrared
A longer wavelength called mid-infrared (MIR) can reach deeper into the body's soft tissue, where inflammation originates, and has the ability to quicken the healing process. Sauna heaters must be able to sustain a surface temperature of 2100C in order to produce MIR. Despite the fact that many sauna businesses advertise full spectrum, the material in their heaters actually melts at the high temperature needed for MIR.

Far Infrared
